Thats ok...as long as i get mine I have an actual signed new vehicle bill of sale. Deal #45352 signed by me , desk manager ,and salesman. Mind you it also says if they dont supply the vehicle within 90 days of the date of this agreement ...im pooched Once they can actually order it ,we are to actually fill in specifcs options etc

I know 2 people who have connections at GM in Oshawa(ex Foremen) ill ask them to see if they heard anything about the ZL1. Production wise etc!

your friend is hopped up on goofballs. gm said 1000 times they will build how ever many is ordered from the dealers. and just going to big dealers is the dumbest thing i ever heard. they dont even have a production number yet so how are all of them spoken for? this aint a ferrari.

They haven't been ....that vocal about meeting demand. There will be limitations in the beginning, just as a result of the fact they still need to built lots and lots of SSs and LSs and LTs to keep outselling the Mustang.

But you're right. Nobody has an allocation number, yet. We'll have to wait about month to figure out how many dealers will be getting in the first few months, here.

Hello fellow Camaro enthusiasts

Just wanted to say "hi" to everyone on this forum. I've been reading it for a long time but since I'm planning on getting a ZL1 I figured I might as well contribute to the general hysteria involving all the speculation about the car of our collective dreams (our affordable dreams, that is). I wouldn't mind having a Ferrari 458 Italia, but when I wake up I remember I'm not rolling in dough.

So when we're all wondering what color we're going to get or how much it is really going to cost, count me in.... Worst case scenario, I'll just wait until the initial rush is over and the dealers come back down from the premiums-over-MSRP craze because of their low allocations....which should be around summer time - almost time to see what is in store for 2013! I've never paid anything near MSRP (I ordered my '98 SS for 2 bills over dealer invoice) - so if I can get a commitment for a reasonable price I'll order again.

Cheers, y'all

Zed

What do you mean restrictions? We get the same car as you get, we are just restricted on what aftermarket parts we put on. Plus there are ways around it. I haven't had to smog a vehicle in 10 years. Do you think my 438 twin turbo Denali would pass smog?
The one good thing (or bad) depending how you look at it. We don't have yearly inpections. Just a smog check every two years and if your vehicle is new it doesn't have to be smoged for 5 or 6 years.

I was under the misimpression that you all had more vehicle manufacture restrictions on the vehicles...though perhaps I should have stated that opening up the air restrictions on the engine and exhaust were what I was actually getting at in the long run. I am pretty sure there use to be a difference back in the day between a california camaro and the rest of the U.S. such as the second generation the latter years 78-81. Any information about that to verify or dispel the illusion?

So i official found out that there is going to be a very limited amount of ZL1's!!!! not lying, not a rumor. This is from GM itself. There's only one dealership in the state of Virginia that will get a ZL1, only one! for the whole entire year of 2012!!! Sorry to bust everyones bubble, but there's not going to be many made!! Sorry, spread the word!
