Hot Rod Power Tour

I didn't see any post in your local region thread, so I thought I'd start one. Our group from the Atlanta, GA area is HRPT bound. We're looking into accommodations in or around the Wisconsin Dells area, as it's the last stop on the tour. Anyone have recommendations or places you'd definitely stay away from? Love to meet some folks from WI also!

If you want to enjoy some waterparks, the Kalahari and the Great Wolf lodge are two of the best, right off the interstate.

I don't think we'll have families, just 3-4 guys and myself. We're looking at Baker's Sunset Cove on Lake Delton. Anyone heard of it? Probably don't want to stay where there are lots of kids running around the cars.

I have stayed at Chula Vista, Kalahari, Mykonos, Wilderness, and Great Wolf. All are fun places to stay. Check prices and options on them and decide which place is best for you.

As far as Bakers Sunset Cove goes....I have never heard of it nor stayed there.

The WISOLS Solstice club has been staying there for the last 8 years for our fall cruise. Nice place.
There are also some fun roads in the area to go cruising on.

Thanks for the replies. We went ahead and pulled the trigger on reservations for Baker's Sunset Cove. Green Bay Hot Wheels, thanks for the recommendation............makes me feel better. Noticed a couple of the places in the Dells had "bed bug warnings' so not feeling them!

So Hot Rod Power Tour is a month away. Any more Camaros planning on any of the legs? We will be at:
Tuesday, June 10 - Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, OH
Wednesday, June 11 - Lake County Fairgrounds in Crown Point, IN
Thursday, June 12 - The Isle Casino in Bettendorf, IA
Friday, June 13 - Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells, WI

Would be great to see Camaro represented as GM is a primary sponsor and always has the latest and greatest on display!

Diane- Yes we have 5 Camaros from our club making the Long haul. 3-4 others are going to join in Norwalk and complete several legs before heading home.

Awesome. Would like to possibly do a photo of anyone interested in meeting up. Have any suggestions of how we could do that at the Ohio venue?

So far, I have 7 cars that have indicated an interest. I guess maybe a suggestion would be a picture in the staging lanes, in front of the billboard.

OK, maybe we can determine a time to meet there if it's not a location that interferes with the entrance or exit to the venue. If we can maybe do it closer to the ending time for the venue, that would give people time to get there and get credentials stamped, etc.

Been hoping you all would be along this year. I didn't get to Camarofest this year. Will you all be in a vendor booth?

That sounds like a plan.
