Tiny update:
GMPP GFX Kit is FINALLY here. Gonna get it installed soon, working with the body shop right now on some small little touches I want on it. It will be going with my 'tastefully different' approach. |

Hey guys, after a long weekend of working nightshifts, I picked up my car from the dealer today. (Got the GMPP GFX kit installed on Wednesday)
I got them color match painted, except the rear piece is 2 tone. I Left park of it the original Dark Argent color to be an homage to the stock rear facia. So without further ado, here's the pics! here's one where I was trying to show the 2 tone rear facia. It looks quite good in person, if I do say so myself! And then a "Family Portrait", my Daily Driver G5, and his little brother That's all for now! As always, any comments or questions are welcome! I love hearing your input guys! |

Hey all! Got back on Wednesday from a 3000 KM (1800 or so miles I think) round trip from Saskatchewan to Yellowstone and back. No complaints about the trip at all, comfy ride. Legs got a little sore, but mostly from driving like 400 miles a day with minimal stops.
Few pics to post, but first I want to say WOW is Yellowstone park ever beautiful! Trip of a lifetime. I think my wife likes the car My Camaro hiding in the grass waiting to pounce on a Mustang A picture of the Beartooth Highway. MAN is this drive interesting. Driving up one side of a mountain and then down the other with two way single lane traffic and no guardrails with a 7000 foot drop off the side. Other than that, ordered my Borla Type S Cat Back from ZZCamaro, should be in before October, hope to get some miles out of her before I put her to bed for the winter. Anyways, still having a blast with #9471!! Peace out, Lance |

Tiny Update:
Snow is coming soon, but I ordered a Roto-Fab Intake and Borla Cat Back from ZZCamaro. Hopefully they will be here in time to get put on for a few miles before Old Man Winter comes. Other than that, My birthday was on Friday and the wifey got me the GM Camaro Car Cover. The silver one. It looks pretty bad ass! Words cannot describe how much I hate the people who don't get snow and won't have to let their cars hibernate for 6 months. That is all, play safe out there! |

Roto Fab intake came in today! Ordered it from ZZCamaro, great guy, great customer service, great price! Wow what a great piece of work! Here's a little install diary:
Before I got to work, I disconnected the battery and did the 5/20 fuse pull, just so when I restarted, the ECU wouldn't get confused by all the new air ratios Stock motor: Roto-Fab box 'o' horsepower: Opening the box: Packaging was great! Nothing was smashed, lots of foam pieces to stop stuff from rubbing together, and actually a foam piece in the bottom of the box, custom cut to fit all the parts into to help hold them in place. +100 points on great first impression! Took off engine cover (don't forget to take off the oil filler cap first! and removed the stock unit: Also took the time to vaccuum out all the grasshoppers that collected in the old air box. Here's where your air comes in from (The camera is in the stock air box area, pointing to the front of the car in this picture. That plug that is beneath the blue dot goes to the headlights) Pic of the MAF in the new housing, lots of room for CFMS! Heat shield/MAF housing getting mounted in. It mounts to stock mounting points and was a pretty easy fit. Just a pic of how good of a seal the heat shield makes elbow and filter on (I got a dry filter 'cause I have had problems with oil ones in the past, just my personal preference) Just an example of nice extras that Roto Fab thinks up: They give you some wire loom to completely cover the MAF wires (just bare wires from factory) and also a piece of silicone hose to protect the air conditioner fill line from rubbing on the heat shield. Very good ideas, makes the final presentation that much nicer IMO Done Old parts: Something you always want to see when you are done working on your car: No left over parts! The sound of this thing at WOT is unreal! Don't know if the fuse pull amplified the gains, but most definately more power. Great sound at acceleration, yet cruising sounds completely stock, which is great. I would wholeheartedly reccomend the Roto-Fab product! |

Great journal!
Really liking the CMG and the white stripes, especially the way they fade on the gills. I know what you mean about winter. I live in Chi-town and winter is coming early this year. Hopefully I will get a few more weeks on driving in before I am shut out :( |

Bad part about this intake: My fuel economy is WAY down because I have the hammer down all the time to hear this puppy scream! Also: Cold fall air + Intake + Lead Foot + Summer Tires = a tired Traction Control System |

Sweet looking car! I'm glad the Roto-fab CAI install went well and you are happy with the performance. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. It looks like the cardboard box took a little abuse on the way! It did start as a new one on this end!

Jeez I hope not, but if I drive it like I did THIS summer, then, yeah, probably :(
