wheel repair... good or bad.
So back when the dealer was replacing my convertible top, apparently one of their outsourced shop people curbed one of my OEM wheels.
I have the Polished Aluminum RS Wheels, the dealer is taking responsibility for it sort of: they offered to do a wheel repair, fill, and re-polish the wheel, the curb rash isn't bad (see picture below), so I am wondering if I should allow them to do this or force their hand and make them replace the wheel. they weren't against replacing it, but want to go this route first.. I've never done a wheel repair, so I don't know anything about it, any suggestions, thoughts, or opinions are welcome.

Wheel repair specialists are really good at what they do if they know what they are doing. Unfortunately not every single person/repair shop is the same and you may end up with a really good job or a crappy half ass job depending on the level of detail and finish they do. If they have offered to replace the wheel, I would have them do that from the start but if they want to go the other route first, make sure you inspect the wheel thoroughly when you get it back, this means not just the part that was damage but also the finish(polished or glossy) and color matching. Personally I had this happened to me before and had to take my car back two time to get the wheel fix right. Hope everything turns out ok for you. Good luck
