brake pedal wear. (the rubber cover)
2012 Camaro SS with 12,000 miles..
due to the fact that I wear dress shoes to work every day, the brake pedal on my Camaro has worn out already.. (also worn a hole in the carpet from the heel already ) a little disappointing, while other vehicles I have owned have all done this, it usually takes several years and at least 40k-50k miles. so anyone else have this issue AND what have you used to replace the brake pedal cover? Aluminum? OEM Rubber? Pedal Kit?

Personal preference. You could get another OEM pad, or use an after market option. As for the carpet, I hope you meant the floor mat. I can understand the floor mat wear if you only rest the edge of your heel on the floor. I usually have my foot flat. As for the pedal wear, that's a byproduct of your habits. Which are usually the result of sliding your foot up onto, and/or sliding down off of the pedal, as opposed to applying your foot directly onto and pulling your foot off the pedal.

You're using the brake too much.

uh huh.. I live in L.A. I drive in stop and go traffic to and from work, sucks but that's life.
and I normally get 60k-70K out of brakes so that's not entirely what it is..
