I spoke too soon... Chevy dealership sent me a letter about the key fob... I think I will still pass though. I like my switch blade style key too well.

I have no reason to visit a dealer since my car is out of warranty. I trashed my letter once I got it. So I won't ever end up signing any waver and if Allstate sends me a letter I will tell them to shove it.

There is no issue with the keys, I tried it anyway on my car by flipping the key off, as long as you don't push the clutch in you will have power brakes and steering all you want.

I signed the waiver a month ago. I've never been notified by Geico that my insurance will go up.

We'll have a key like the Ford Mustang then ,now we are more even. Showing how cheap GM is. I just watched the video and we still have to carry around the regular fob without the switchblade key. How stupid. GM didn't you already have an issue with objects handing off the key and causing ignition issues. I thought the solution was not to have anything hanging off the key.

Of course it will. The damn Piloti tag on my key used to hit my knee before I took it off in disgust and it wasn't as long.

got my letter while I was on Vacation in Upstate New York....

I guess I need to read more on it... cause I am short... like 5'4" short and even when I try to touch the FOB with my knee it just doesn't happen!

I'm going to take my chances. Their solution is to make the key separate from the remote and I refuse to do that. It's stupid.

This is hardly the first recall ever issued, and I've never heard of or experienced an insurance company getting involved before.
