ok.

my guess is the alm. vs iron block will limit its potential boost.

yea probably with some serious modders out there but it comes set at 12psi thats pretty up there in terms of a stock supercharger, not sure where the ceiling is but somewhere around 20-25, evo's have aluminum blocks as well and they can push upwards of 25-30 psi. so we shall see.

Id imagine the Evo engine to have a bit more 'boost potential' than the engine ford is pulling out of the MKS.

the lincoln mks has a 3.7l v6, the eco boost is a 3.5l v6 different internals, different block and direct injection.

Exactly, very different.

I dont know about you boys, but I wouldnt want to run over 20psi for fear that the engine couldnt take it for long.

but you just said they took it from the mks as if the engine was no different than the mks... it will be built for boost they know what they are doing when boosting as you can tell by how much the gt500 engine can hold stock. i'm pretty positive it will be a stout piece

Its too bad IRS didn't get carried over.

my camaro wont even be tarnished by running against those smutstangs ;D ill be buying a 2grand eagle talon or eclipse TSI and spending another 3-4k on it to deal with those pesky little ponies, it always makes them way more butthurt to get smoked by a 4banger (myself included lol)

very different from the Evo.

The GT500 can hold so much boost stock because its an Iron block engine, that doesnt say much about the potential of an aluminum block. Im not saying it cant take the boost, im saying that I wouldnt bet on it being able to handle much over 20psi for long periods of time.

Lol those cars. Yeah I know about them well. I had a friend who spent a LOT of money to get his fast. At the time I had a 03 cobra. Even after all his work he still lost at the track to me. I ran a 12.0 and he went 12.5. Those all wheel drives can be quick, but they still lack the tq and power up top.

It did not take long before he blew the tranny on the all wheel drive. what a waste. He said he could have took a v8 and been deep in the 11's for what he spent on that car. So...good luck to ya. Maybe you'll beat some stockers before it goes kaboom.

theres no way the ecoboost will be 21k.

3.5 or 3.7 n/a will be base engine

then there will be the ecoboost and the 5.0
