for all you guys with long tubes (that sound bad :) )

so I'm pretty sure I'm ok with going the long tube route.....
I was afraid of warranty but I'm going on faith that my motor is good and I plan on doing lifters and cam down the road, I'm an m6 and will be getting rid of afm lifters soon..

anyway my fear is that its just going to be really loud for daily driving...
drone and overbearing noise would be an issue...

I've narrowed my choices to 1 7/8 and American racing or texas speed, either way I would go catted with their x pipe setups and maybe leave stock npp..

or I'm still open to the idea of high flow cat stock location and a cat back system like the bbe because I believe their npp functionality can be fixed to work well...

any thoughts and what is your feelings on your exhaust if you have a long tube setup... does it get annoying, do you have any regrets, do you daily drive.. etc

American Racing, TSP I will never use for anything & I will stop right there.
I have Kooks, best set of headers I've ever owned.

We have been selling a lot of Stainless Works lately. People seem to really like the quality of them. I would say that they are top of the line, and they sell for less than ARH.

The drone sound will be dictated by the mufflers you use.
I personally have driven these cars with stock npp, flowmaster (chamber type), Hooker, Corsa Sport, Kooks, and stock non npp. My favorite from all of them is the Corsa, and it will have no drone at all.

So you post this same comment in multiple threads with nothing to back it up.

ARH is a GM Performance product with the best fit and finish.

Kooks has many instances of fitment issues especially when you go 2" primaries.

I just don't want to explain a lengthy story of why I won't use TSP, I'm not hear to bash another company. I have 1-7/8" Kooks on mine, 0 issues. 2" primaries on any engine not making over 800h.p. is a waste. I know this from dynoing my N/A 434 race engine & my 1-7/8 headers made more power than the 2"

2" is overkill until you make big power, even on a LT1. It's been Dyno tested on the same Dyno with the same car. 1 7/8 will take most builds a long way.

I think pray and others are saying 5-8rwhp. Idk if it’s worth it to u

I think this is why the Camaro team invested in good flowing manifolds

Jenetty tested it on a full Bolton e85 car....they made less power. 5-8whp is on a heads/cam/intake build.

You've already explained why you don't like TSP in on of your other posts and it had nothing to do with quality of product. My comment on 2" had nothing to do with what you should or shouldn't have at your power level. It's about fit and the fit with ARH or TSP 1-7/8" is better than Kooks. All of these are good headers but you can go around bashing ARH and TSP because you had a credit card issue.

TSP don't fit better then Kooks...at least on the SS. Several end up needing to dent the primary to keep it from hitting the steering shaft. Both Kooks and Arh drop right in. There is a poll thread around here discussing this.

We would suggest the ARH headers for sure! The fitment is one of the best on the market. As far as drone goes it's not loud enough to make you want to never drive your car again. It will be noticeable but comfortable for daily driving.

Cheers,

It will be too loud for daily driving unless you do high flow cats.
