I have to disagree with this. Ford did a great job on the Mustang exhaust. It sounds great and there is no mistaking the sound. You know it's a Mustang without even looking.

On top of that all V8's are similar at the block...the LS1 and Hemi are completely different in the cylinder heads....Hemi's actually have superior design for moving air in and out because the intake valve and exhaust valve nearly face each other in the hemispherical chamber.

I'm no Dodge fan boy, in fact I already have my Camaro on order, but nobody can argue with Hemi engines from the early 70's that were rated 425 hp, but dyno'd over 700 stock.
you need to look up the design of the new hemi (5.7 and 6.1) they are patterned off the 3/4 gen Chevy small block. we arent talking about the 60's-70's hemi's

sorry, but did you just say that stock hemi's made over 700hp? id love to argue that. unless you could show some facts where you got this info.

and obviously, you only think about the old school Hemi, the modern "Hemi" is nothing more than a trademark name. and yes the new hemi combustion chambers are based off of LS technology.

yeah, it's always been easy to distinguish that hollow, pipe's-too-big-for-the-output sound. at least from the mid 90's on

Glad I wasn't the only one thinking this... I'm sure it'll go up again, but It's $2.10 today where I am. Even cheaper at BJ's. I got it for $2.06 a few days ago...

Why would the Motor Trend letters page make anyone here mad? The letters page for all car mags mostly contain negative letters, they're more fun to read. Also, take what was said about the Camaro and flip it and you'll have pretty much every thread about a Mustang on this website.............dish it out but can't take it?
I love the color blue,it's better than red. People who like red just don't know the complexities of what makes the color blue better than red. Red people just aren't really into colors like blue people,i can not like red,it's okay not to like red,but i feel in order to not like red,i must destroy red completely and build up the color blue, because i'm insecure about other people liking blue. People that don't like blue just don't get it.
Insert whatever car you'd like in there, meanwhile the grown car people can have real discussions.

Well Katarhol that is where you are wrong. Not every thread on the site here is bashing a mustang. Many here feel that while the Mustang is a good car it does not and will not compare to the new Camaro. Usally when someone bashes on the Mustang they (a Mustang fan) come here and run off at the mouth about how they have the better car picking the fight and bringing it upon themselves. I have been a lurker on this site for months and joined finally here recently. I dont know everyone here but still will defend them becasue this is our site. The Mustang fans be damned. You are welcome here and your comments are welcome but dont expect a pleasent welcome when you come spouting trash about something we are inthusiast about and care for as much as you do your Mustang.

My first Camaro was a 1967 327 that I paid for myself, while still in high school, back in 1971. I loved that car, but always wished I could own an RS or SS model, preferably, the '69. When I saw the "concept" Camaro back in Jan. of '06, I could not believe my eyes! I wanted it NOW! This is a beautiful retro of our beloved 60's era Camaro. I come to this site daily, just to see the pics of my new baby. I haven't been this excited about anything (material) in ages. I am getting a fully loaded 2LT RS in Imperial blue/gray leather with white hockey stripes. My order was placed, and I am going crazy waiting, but I know it will be worth the wait! I love this car! It is true eye candy for all to enjoy.

Well put, Hesh! Not sure why Punter posted the M.Trend letters to begin with. They're something bound to occur, and yea they get me riled, but no big deal really. Come one, come all trash talkers - to the strip that is.
