Looks decent. Lose the wheels and get some stockers. What you paid was fair... depends on body and interior condition. A 305 RS is a dime a dozen.

Looks like a fresh paint job. That hood is not correct for that car. It's an IROC hood and they stopped using those in 89.

The wheel is probably just way out of adjustment. They ride rough. 170,000 miles on a 700R4 is a TON. Mine lasted 88K.

Have fun with it. I love owning a 3rd gen. That said, it gets 500-1000 miles a year. You'll understand why

Click the BUILD THREAD link below to see mine. Enjoy!

You did alright. As was pointed out above - hood is wrong. Wheels are horrid for the ride...especially around Detroit (do they mortor those potholes in or are they formed naturally?) Interior looked decent.

I don't know what he is talking about the steering column and box...but if you need one or both, there were a lot of third gens around and there is a lot of support around those cars.

I really want a third gen.

You probably could have gotten it a bit cheaper, but 3rd Gens have been going up in value a bit. Nice lookin car, I love 3rd Gens. My 1st Camaro was an 86 Iroc and I miss it!

Black carpet and black leather seats will wake that baby up. A wax job will go a long way on it to. The wheels throw it way off. To me anyway. Them wheels are outta my taste big time. But over all it looks good. Most the time if you see a 3rd gen its rusted or covered in primer. Its good

Overall, very nice! As said above, lose the wheels. the style is kinda weird. They also look a little too big on it, but maybe thats just the picture. 16s look really good on 3rd gens. Its good its got the iroc hood instead of the rs hood. the rs hood was plain, boring, and stupid looking. I like the louvers on the iroc hoods. And i really doubt you need a new steering column, probly just an alignment. And yes, its probly gonna ride a lil rough lol. But these cars are awesome! Nice purchase man, enjoy it!

it rides rough because of those oversized rims on the car. one of my buddies had the same wheels and the ride quality went to the crapper. you can try new shocks/struts (bilstiens are nice).

Nice car tho, 2600 isnt bad for that car, as long as the body work is done right. mechanical pieces can be changed easily ie trans. drive it, have fun, save money to replace parts with better ones

The price is fair. Realistically, we're only talking a few hundred dollars anyway, not thousands. If it's a good solid base, it's not a crime over-paying slightly for a decent classic IMO.

Those 20's are way too big. Swap on some 16" stock IROC wheels and sell those, pocket a few bucks. I have 18's on mine and I wouldn't go any further than that. It definitely made the ride a bit more harsh, and when mounting them they are significantly heavier than the 16's.

Nice car though. A '92 RS with the heritage package is on my list.

lose the wheels, adjust the hood to get rid of that gap where it meets the bumper cover, get an iroc grille and fog lights, paint the buckets black, and you are SET

is the hood a different color than the car? it looks to be a brighter blue

very nice car, congrats
