well went to put in my le1 axels and hubs just to find out that the axel nuts need to be bought aswell. so have to wait to get them in.

They are supposedly a direct fit to the SS.....as long as you buy the 1LE Hubs to go with them, and as we just found out.....new axle nuts too! And yes, they are supposedly stronger, from what I'm hearing, pretty much just like a ZL1 axle but made to fit the GM8.6 IRS rear differential.

Anyone have any idea what chevy dealer will install the gears in the Austin Texas area? Talked to two so far and one said no "we can not alter a car if there is warranty still on the car" and the other quoted $850 to install....
