Edit: After looking into it, it's not for the 2010 camaro only fits chevy pickups.

I would call and ask about this first. There is a GM 8.6 and a GM 8.6 IRS. I think this kit here is for the non-IRS rear end, not ours.

well went to put in my le1 axels and hubs just to find out that the axel nuts need to be bought aswell. so have to wait to get them in.

Are the1LE axles suppose to be stronger then the SS? and are they a direct fit?

They are supposedly a direct fit to the SS.....as long as you buy the 1LE Hubs to go with them, and as we just found out.....new axle nuts too! And yes, they are supposedly stronger, from what I'm hearing, pretty much just like a ZL1 axle but made to fit the GM8.6 IRS rear differential.

I came up with 734.00 shipped for the 2 Axles, 2 hubs. That's a lot of money if they turn out to not be much stronger. IF they could hold up to about 650hp they would be worth it.

Anyone have any idea what chevy dealer will install the gears in the Austin Texas area? Talked to two so far and one said no "we can not alter a car if there is warranty still on the car" and the other quoted $850 to install....

3rd dealer says $975.................

I got a dealer in nc that said 450 to install and it a three hour job. Will get it done after Xmas.

That sounds more like it! The ones that charge $800 do so because they don't know how to do it and will take twice as long!
