SLP exhaust? sucks about the diff leaking but at least you found it before something horrible happened!

Joke I've heard is that if the 10 bolt isn't leaking.. something is seriously wrong with your car.

Didn't look close enough though. Texas Speed exhaust, same company that BB was looking at for headers on her V6. Only difference is that the TSB is a coated mild steel with a slightly different expansion chamber shape.

Other than that it's a $230 SLP LM1. Picked it up for $100 bucks. Needs to be cleaned and resealed from clamp wear but not gonna argue with an entire kit that hasn't been welded for that cheap. There's arguments of which one is louder.. but if you listen to them side by side, I doubt there'd be a difference. Aside from the SLP owner paying double for a stainless kit.

Bump for header paint and cure day today. Probably load it up and take it in for tips monday or tuesday after work. 120 bucks in stainless tips and welding and she should sound mean with a lid I still gotta pick up and the eventual !EGR/'01 spec LS1 upgrades.

If mine didnt already have aftermarket exhaust put on when I bought it Id prob go for the GMMG as well. No CME tho. How would GMMG sound on a v6?

AFAIK nobody has done a GMMG. Youtube would be your friend but I doubt they sell an adapter for the GMMG kit. Wouldn't hurt to check with them but the kit is well over $1K. I like it on LT cars but on an LS car I prefer the punch of a LM or TSP.

The more I look for install tips, the general consensus is that this kit (the TSP) with the right backpressure (IE keep the cats or get good LTs) will give this thing a damn loud and healthy note. Thought I may have jumped the gun but in the end I spent ~$190 all said and done with tips and clamps.

The minute I saw them I was sold, it's like a B&B tip but will probably jut out of the cover a little bit rather than be recessed like many tip styles. I actually like that look and haven't seen many T/As do it (more flush mount). Wasn't bad at $70 bucks for the pair out the door. Stainless too.

Depending on whether or not I can snag shop time, may have it on tomorrow or tuesday now.

Unfortunately clips of the note will have to wait.. my Nikon and phone suck ass. :/ Probably getting an iphone 4s this winter during upgrade so maybe sucking on some cold Ohio air may help some with the note punch.
