I really think it's just the lighting. Plastic doesn't reflect the same way that metal does. I'm sure in person it's not even noticable.

Yup. It's different but won't be noticeable in person.

I'm trying to decide between Silver Ice, Black, and CGM. All of this was assuming the RS package wheels were virtually black (or dark gray at the least, as the website implied).
The website depicts the Midnight Silver wheels a whole lot darker than they really are. They are hard to find, but some members have posted pictures that show the actual tint a lot better than most other pictures. Most pics seem to be a little over exposed.

There was no mention of adding stripes later.

Richard didn't take me for a drive, Ray did.

Brembos are SS only, but either way they're always silver.

I didn't notice a difference. Here is a picture showing where the fascia meets the hood meets the fender, no real difference in colour between the three base materials.

Are these the RS Rims that usually come in the package? On the Online builder they look a lot darker

The wheels look a little brighter in these pictures than they did in person. I would say that midnight silver is sort of a medium rather than a dark. They were still lighter than the gray of the car.

I thought someone might ask about the MS wheels, so I took a shot of them from the shaded side of the car:

I think what you are seeing is reflections and shadows from the cars surroundings. I have looked at these pictures several times since I have a CGM about to be delivered and I see no issues with the paint. Why is it every little color variation has to be a paint issue? I bet that if 10 people with 10 different cameras took the same picture we would get 10 different shading compositions. Each persons eye sees color slightly different as do the lens of cameras. Sometimes you have to accept that your perception is just that and we all see thing through our own eyes and have our own perceptions. The settings used on a particular camera can play a huge role is how the image will turn out. Lets stop looking for faults and just try to enjoy the car. Granted, if there is something wrong with your own personal Camaro you should raise hell until you are happy. I just think to many people on here have spent too much time waiting and looking and eventually find something to find wrong. ENJOY the fact the cars are being built... that is why we ordered them to ENJOY them!!!
