New from "the Lou"
Hey there! New member from "the Lou" (St Louis, MO) and a first time Camaro owner too!
Funny thing happened when shopping for an Equinox. My youngest said "instead of an Equinox you should be looking for a cool car like a Camaro!" So, even though the Camaro is very impractical, has a back seat that only pre-teen kids could be comfortable in, and has a trunk that isn't much bigger than a laundry hamper ... we discussed it and said "go for it!" Only live once right? Besides, if it just didn't work out, we could always sell it and get that Equinox. Always been a Chevy-girl, but never had the pleasure of owning a Camaro before. Once we decided to go for it, the whole family set about searching for the right car. Must have visited at least a dozen different dealerships and test drove all sorts of coupes and convertibles. Fell in love with Synergy Green ... I love that color but it sure is hard to find. Also fell in love with the convertible. Found out that a convertible in Synergy Green must be an urban-legend as it simply doesn't seem to exist (does it?). So I had to decide if I liked Synergy Green or the convertible more In the end it was the convertible that won out. After looking at a lot of convertibles I finally decided on a 2012 45th Anniversary Edition 2LT convertible with only 16,000 miles. Love the Carbon Frost Metallic ... almost as much as Synergy Green ... love the rich metallic in the Carbon Frost color. I like Carbon Frost Metallic much better than straight black. The 45th Anniversary Edition is kind of unique too so I like that also! Anyway, just wanted to say "hi!" I'll be checking in on the forum to learn more about my new Camaro and if things come up that I could use some help with I know that I'll be able to come here and get some help. Looking forward to being part of "the club!" Gina |

Gina, CONGRATS on your ride and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wives', husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.
oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!

Thank you! Thank you!
I'm actually on the "other side of the river" too. But I figure if I said "Collinsville IL" only peeps who live in the area would know where that was. But when you say "St Louis MO" well pretty much everybody knows where that is ... thanks in part to our perennial playoff contender St Louis Cardinals! Go Cards! |

Funny but the Carbon Flash Metallic looks almost gray in the pic that I posted. Must be all the metallic reflecting back the flash or something? In person it's more black with a rich metallic that really sparkles in the light! |
