New Camaro kinda smells like a cow pasture on the inside

I just got my Camaro last week and from the moment I picked it up it's smelled a little like a cow pasture on the inside. That's the best way to describe it. Not pleasant. It was a 3/16 build and I purchased it in 10/16 so it was probably on the dealer lot for about 4-5 months as a guess but I can't imagine why it would smell nothing like a new car. My SS Sedan was on the lot for a while and still smelled like a new car when I bought it. I've tried to recirculate and keep the windows cracked when in the garage but it doesn't seem to be dissipating. Anyone else have an issue with their car smelling? This is in Phoenix so it's not a high humidity area. I bought the car from Tucson which is low humidity as well. Thanks.

Mine doesn't really have that great "new car smell" either, but it was a 4/16 build and we just bought it last week 10/16. Mine had 178 miles on it when we got it, so there is no telling if it was test driven a lot, or used as a loaner. We were told it was a dealer trade, but who knows.

My first thought if it smells that bad, have the dealer look it over, but it wouldn't be the first time a dead animal or rat would be found in a new car. Sitting after manufacture or on the dealer lot makes them easy targets for rodents seeking shelter. It could also be, maybe roasted road kill on the exhaust? I've certainly had that happen more than once!

The problem with this world is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be penalties for stupidity,
but why don't we just take the warning labels off everything and let the problem solve itself.

Could be mildew in the vents...

Try this. Buy a can of Lysol, any scent, or no scent....put the a/c on full blast, recirculate off.
Then step outside and spray the Lysol into the intake vents by the wipers, lots of it...like half a can or more...I did this on my previous daily driver, as it sat on the lot for a few months. Did the trick...

The air filter that filters outside air prior to the air conditioning will develop mold. My 2014 GMC Sierra smelled exactly like cow manure until I changed the filter.

Had this happen in the Prius once in Colorado (warm, sunny day). I was told to resolve it by putting the heat on full blast and letting it run for 15 minutes. Seemed to bring the smell waaay down, and it completely disappeared in a week.

And last but not least, it could always be the smelly GM tech that took your car through their wash before giving it to you.

It's called "park smell" and it is very common in cars that just sit outside and are never driven. Take it back to the dealer for "odor correction". Here is the procedure for Toyota, but GM uses the same process and finishes with a new cabin air filter: http://carspecmn.com/toyota-and-lexu...r-of-foul-air/

My car did not really have a strong "new car" smell either but it does not stink. It also has a 3/16 build date but I bought it a couple months ago on 8/4.
