When the times comes for our 01 AWD Sub Forest to end, I want to keep the AWD drive train but shoe horn a classic V8 under the hood

AWD should be standard on everything.

Should have to order it special without.

This is the best forum for a Sub / most helpful.
within days I gave a donation and stopped visiting the rest.

I love everything about the WRX except for its "boy racer" styling. Good in your 20s, not so much in your 30s. Yours looks nice with the non-wing spoiler though. I would have politely kept my mouth shut if you were sporting a giant wing out the back.

Dan, don't take offense to it, the sig is merely a joke. I like you as a poster, you're helpful and informative and pretty damn factual. I just started a list of users who are very openly voiced about Car X/Y/Z being faster then the Camaro, the folks I've seen in a number of debates over it : )

That is a damned nice wrx, if I wasn't hellbent on my next vehicle having a slushbox (the daily grind gets kinda tiresome with a stick), I would be really cosindering one of those!

Welcome

You're right about the sti. It's only worth it if you plan on racing a lot because of the stronger trans/diffs, better brakes, etc. The 2011 wrx is great. With a turboback and tune you'll love it even more.

I'll see ya on nasioc

Only the sti's come with the big wing. I wish it was optional and not standard. I am scouring the planet looking for a modellista wing to replace it.

You can still buy a new 2010 Impreza GT which has the 08 WRX's 224hp 2.5L turbo but with an automatic. 2010 was the last year and there are still plenty new ones sitting on dealer lots.

I searched auto trader for you

yes, but the performance mods will likely wait until Summer, if not later. it has the STi short-throw shifter already.

in the closer future.. I'll likely put on some mild window tint as I've grown accustomed to having it, some mud flaps to save the paint, possibly some mild lowering springs, a shift knob, just small things.

in the distant future .. down pipe, up pipe, cat back exhaust, tune. I love the way these cars rumble.. I am really itching to put exhaust on it!
