Auto ZL1 - possible issue
To my ZL1 Auto friends - is it normal that when having the car in drive and pressing (for 30 secs driving over 20 miles)the paddle shifters to change to manual?
Is happening to my car and I couldn't find it in the manual |

Well with my isF if I have it in drive and decide I want to us the paddles, it will go into M mode...not sure if that's what you're asking.
If so, this may be normal...well it is for the isF anyway, then again the isF has 8 gears. |

In the SS the paddles will do nothing in D. You have to shift into M or Sport Mode before they become active.
When you use the paddle in D does it show Sport in the DIC... this really doesn't seem right... |

My paddles work in "D" as well as "M" or as most call it "Sport" mode. BTW this is an SS.

It was a change in 2011. You can use the paddle shifter while in D, but will return to normal after inactivity, where as in "Sport" mode it will stay in the manual mode.
Vettes are the same way. |
