Seat lock?

Is there a way to disable the latch for moving the seat forward? My wife has trouble moving the seat and was wondering if it could be done?

I believe the seat back lock is there for safety reasons. Try pushing back on the seat back while pulling the latch. Some of these seat back latches are not "one handed" devices. I've noticed my passenger side can be done with one hand, but not the driver's side.

In your owner's manual on page 3-3 it states:

To adjust a manual seat:
1. Lift the handle under the seat to unlock it.

2. Slide the seat and release the handle.

3. Try to move the seat back and forth to be sure it is locked in place.

What kind of issue is your wife experiencing when trying to move the seat? Please let me know!

If it is the latch on the back of the seat, there was a technical bulletin on that, i took mine to my dealer and they "lubed" both, even though i was only having problems with the passengers side, and now it is much better.

When she lifts the handle to release the lock it does not release and we have to move the seat back and forth to get it to unlock.

My seat back latch on the passenger side doesn't work, lol. Not that I really care because I don't put people in the back seats, but I guess I should get it fixed because it is warrantied, heh.

I have two boys who ride in the back with me, so I would like it if it was easier to get the seats released.

I believe the OP is referring to the seat back latch that allows the seat back to move forward and let people in the back seat.

Have you been to your local dealership? Perhaps they could take a look at it to see if it is working properly. Please let me know!
