ScentPortables Just Ruined My Day

So yesterday, my girlfriend bought me a nice scentportable thing from Bath and Body Works to make my car smell all good. Well, today I went to the gym, came out and saw something wet in my seat... Comes to find out the thing leaked onto the leather and the heat from in the car soiled it into my leather seats. It broke down my leather seats that the leather started coming off the seat. Needless to say I am pissed. Just warning the rest of you... DON'T BUY THAT SCENTPORTABLES. FML.

That really sucks. Maybe you can get it fixed under warranty? It's a longshot, but otherwise you're out a lot of money...

Is this an air freshener that goes on your seat? Sorry to hear that.

Could you give a bit more info on this?

To attempt that would be fraud. I'd make my girlfriend pay for it, shes the one that wanted his car to not smell like new leather and instead smell like grandma's bathroom.

Please don't tell me it was lilac.

Hey you could always sue bath and body works if they did not put a warning or a suggested use label on it.

No it was "Clean Linen". See the link for what they are. Basically they are a holder that goes on your shade and holds an "smell good leather ruining" oil.

I didn't realize she had put it up there until... well ya know... I came out of the gym D:

I actually thought about that. I didn't see any warnings about heat or leather ruining...

Dude it's just bad luck. Suck it up and get your seat fixed. No one's fault really. You wouldn't get anywhere trying to sue the company that makes that thing.

She obviously didn't know that was going to happen, can't be too mad at her, it's just a bad situation. In the future I would discourage her heavily from messing with your car.

I know crap happens, just makes me mad ya know. You can't act like it wouldn't make you mad if it happened to you. The main reason of the post was to help you guys out, not to hinder her.

I would have put it under the seat. Wouldn't want that goofy thing where anyone would see it.

Just kidding about making the girlfriend pay.

well its not that big a deal, the dealer can order a new seat cover and have it installed in a couple hrs... should not cost that much... Also could not tell but if its the bottom portion they can order just that...
