tl:dr it's not necessary on any car. However, it will reduce maintenance on both. It's more important on a DI engine but still important on a multi port injection engine.

I love the look and improved sound from a CAI but I plan on supercharging so I'm holding off. I'll be working on all the supporting mods working up to the SC.

I got mine about 2 weeks ago, finally had some nice SoCal weather, and i decided to hit the links instead of working in the garage. With V-day sunday, im sure the gf will want the D...so ill have to do my stuff on Monday with pics to follow.

Very easy mod to install and well worth it despite some saying "You don't need that" Bought mine directly from Elite as well.
