What side is best to install the catch can? Passenger side or Driver side? Which side has the better look?

I put mine on the passenger's side as there really wasn't any room on the drivers side. It looks nice and nestled in there on my car.

Correct. The L99 does not have the valley cover barb as it has VVT and the solinoides take up the space under the valley cover where the LS3 baffle is located, so they evacuate from the rear of the drivers side valve cover. Both barbs LS3 and L99 have the same sized 1/8" (app.) fixed orifice to regulate flow. It is far better to use the drivers side and cap the valley for a LS3 as well as the valley leaves the entire drivers side bank stagnant and over time the acid that condenses under the driver side valve cover begins to corrode the rocker arms and the pressed in thin steel caps that retain the needle bearings in the fulcrum. Using the valve cover gives a complete cross flow flush and evacuation of the entire crankcase VS just 2/3rds of it as the valley cover does. For a boosted build, you can T both together for better flow to deal with the added blow-by FI creates.
