Melling oil pump Question

Before I installed the melling I was maintaining about 28-30 psi with idle set at about 850-900 from my tuner. After installing the melling my pressure is roughly at 45 idle. Would this cause any issues long term? I know the melling is a high volume pump, but maybe tuning down my idle some will drop the pressure too?

Don't think a lower idle would make much difference.

I run the same oil pump and same pressures as you. Have about 8K on that setup - so far so good. I know others have 3-4 times that mileage and they report all is good. I believe the same is true for you. Enjoy!

What's the oil pressure peak at?

45 lbs at idle shouldnt be a problem. What is it at your shift point?

Not sure about peak pressure yet, the weather is real bad outside so I just seen startup and idle so far.

If its a 10296 you'll be fine, gotta love the instant OP at start up and it will hold that even at Operating temps. It should peak at ~65/70 at 7k
OP YOU'LL be ok bud.

Yup leave the blue one in. I've had my melling since 2007 no issues ever.
