What next?

Added a Maggie, CAI and beefed up the suspension to get the power to the ground. So, what next to get some more HP? Dyno says I'm running about 520RWHP now, thinking of trying to get to 600ish...

Smaller pulley, fuel pump, meth?
Exhaust?

What is the way to go to get more hp for least amount of $s as safely as possible?
What's the safe limit on the LS3 w/o having to rebuilde the lower end? I've always heard about 600RWHP.

All suggestions are welcome.

Thanks,
Doug

If you have not explored exhaust modifications I would highly consider a set of long tube headers in conjunction with a slightly smaller pulley I assume you have a 3.6" now?

A combination of say Kooks 1 7/8" long tube headers and maybe a 3.4" pulley will yield you a nice 40-60 horsepower increase with tuning.

Aside from this, I would suggest a cam, for the money invested it will be money well spent towards reliable horsepower, and increases of 35-50 horsepower would be common for a good stage 1-2 forced induction camshaft package. Personally I would choose the long tubes and a cam first then see what power level you reach (I would guess near 600) then if you feel fit, add a 3.4" pulley for more boost to reach even highly horsepower levels.

If you have any pricing or specific product questions let me know, the help is always free !

Regards

Where in SoCal are you? Which maggie did you go with? (1900 or 2300)

There are a couple of maggie cars running around just over 600rwhp and they are running hard. One of them has had his on the track multiple times (road and drag) without issues. I'm pretty sure he has a mild cam, 3.2 pulley and LT's.

I'm looking at adding meth when my sc goes on for piece of mind, but that is just me.

Thanks for the suggestions. Yeah, I'm running a 2300 and haven't decided on anything yet but just looking for suggestions on safe, reliable hp increases.

So does about 600rwhp sound about right for a safe limit on an LS3 w/o lower end mods?

I've seen a couple of tuners say that 750fwhp is about all you can push these motors to without risking massive failure and needing to forge the week links. With an estimated 15% loss, your looking at about 630rwhp putting you right on the ragged edge.
