I finally ordered my 2011 Cyber Gray Metallic 2SS on August 24! This vehicle is nostalgic for me since the first vehicle I owned was a college graduation gift from my parents- a red 1985 Z28 with LB9 "TPI" motor and four speed automatic! I loved that car but, as so often happens, life got in the way and I traded the car for something more practical.

In checking the GM order traking site, my car hasn't yet entered the build stage, presumable a result of the plant shutdown. The concern I have is I received a preferred customer voucher from Chevrolet which expires the last day of November! Do any of the members know if the 6-8 week timeline is realistic once production begins again? Of, have orders accumulated during the shutdown which may delay my car? I'm getting anxious and my 14 year old son (yes, this car was as much his idea as it was mine) is driving me crazy!

There have been several posts indicating the plant was shut down for two weeks in mid September to allow for either: re-tooling for production of the convertible or 2) upgrading paint systems for the Cadillacs also produced in the same facility.
