Clean it off with either brake clean or carb cleaner. Try tightening it just a little and see if leak continues.

How many miles on your car? It could be eating oil.

Well that doesn't look like much of a leak around the filter cap...more like some oil dripped during a filter change. If you lost a quart that way, you would see some dripping.
You should get the car up on ramps or a lift and look around under there. Also, you haven't told us anything about mileage or how long it took to get down a quart. |

With a quart, that should be pretty easy to find the leak. I would think it would be dripping on the ground. If not, then consumption. Let warranty from a different dealership take care of that.
