SLICKS FOR 17 INCH WHEEL

I went to the jegs site to look for a 17 inch slick for the wheels I bought for my Z. They did not show any that I saw.Does anyone run a slick? I have M&H DR's on it now and I have 711hp to the tire and it is not working. If anyone knows of one hook me up.Thanks

Hoosier makes the only slick I've seen in 17". 28/10R17

I run them on my car, it's a manual, I get fairly consistent low 1.6x 60ft with some 1.5x. Best has been 1.544

Thanks guys. I did a search here and they said they are not radials but bias-ply.Is that correct? If any of you are running them let me know how they hook and at what tire pressure and hp you have. Thanks

Haha omg I thought I was the only person on the forums that didn't know how to upload pictures to a thread. I had another forum member for another brand try to show me but I couldn't get it. Computers are really not my thing but working on anything with an engine is my thing.

If you can send some pics via email I can pm you my email address if that's ok. I am really interested in seeing the 17" S71 RTS on a SIM ZL1 because this is the route I am looking at going and haven't seen them on a silver ZL1. Thank you! Good luck with improving your ET.

Rob

Since I have run 1.49 60ft on the same M&H drag radial you have, I have a hard time believing that tire will not work. If I get mine set-up correctly and they do half decent track prep, I cannot spin my M&H drag radials no matter what I do, that was with 835 whp and 900 ft/lb torque.

The air has got to be at 17 pounds or less and you must do a good burnout. I suspect if you are blowing off the M&H drag radials and you did the two things I mentioned above, the track prep is crap and slicks will not help much. No matter how sticky your tires are, if there is sand and grit on the track nothing will bite. Maybe you need to bring your car over to Ardmore, the track prep is really good here. I'm planning on running at the test and tune on Halloween night if I don't break something at the Texas mile....
