The Nissan GTR's exploding transmissions.

I think if they told us it was some subcontractor who couldn't get them parts in time, we would have a riot at that company's steps tomorrow morning

Thanks for letting us know what is going on. It is an honor and a blessing to have you be a part of this wonderful community. Anyways, who's going to keep Ms. Fink happy around here with new inside information that only the big cheese can deliver.. Ohh..before I forget...Please quit teasing us about Cyber Grey.. I still have a few more weeks to change the color in the order and I really would like to see the color before it is too late.. The photoshops don't do the color justice and seeing it on the corvette makes it hard to imagine on the Camaro..

Just make a cyber grey SS or V6 with the orange IOM interior and we'll all be happy here..

Even though there's no delay in the V8s, it will still take a little bit of time to build all the ordered V8s and ship them out - with about 8,000 to 9,000 V8s ordered so far, October doesn't seem to be too far out of the realm of possibility for having all of them completed and delivered.

I think Scott was trying to quell the talk of "30% of V8s being pushed back till next year."

Good grief there are over 10,000 orders, they said it would take them the first three quarters to build those cars, did you think that as soon as production started that EVERYONE would get their car that day?

I've ordered a car before, it takes time for a normal production vehicle to be special ordered, not to mention a first run of a car.

There are no such thing as an "unchangeable" everything is subject to change.
But you see, you don't understand that we live in the age of "instant gratification" these days, simply push a button and it's all done, no effort on anyone's part!! I've waited and been through new product launches in a lot of different product areas, from cars to music synthesizers to digital cameras, etc. and I can tell you I have never seen as much information up front as Chevy has provided on the new Camaro. My experience with new product launches suggests that usually product arrives after your earliest "wish date", but follows soon afterward. I did get lucky on a music synthesizer launch a few years ago and mine was in the first batch air freighted here from Japan rather than having to wait for the normal cargo container shipments via ship. Everyone take a deep breath and have a little patience, Camaros will start showing up at dealers before too long.

Thanks scott for settling some of the worries. I don't mind the delay at all. Gives me a little more time to get the 69 back together and out of the New Camaros parking spot.

I saw where it gave the numbers for the rear end gears. Do all the V8's now get the 3.45 rear end? I'm getting an SS automatic, and would much rather have the lower 3.45's over the 3.27's, but always thought the auto's were getting the higher gears. If anyone knows for sure, please chime in. Thanks....

Scott, will you be at the St. Lousi auto show at the end of January? If so, got anything planned for it. Will you let a lonely St. Louisin sit in the roped off car

P.S. Thank you for the info. I do feel better about the wait.

Thanks
