Recaro seats ripping (seat belt related)

Hello,
I have a 2014 ZL1 with recaro seats that only has about 6k miles. Where the seat belt goes through the loop on the seat is starting to rip. I took the car to the dealer, and they said they would not replace my seats. I have seen this issue before, is there a TSB or anything that I can do? My bumper to bumper warranty expires in about a week or so.

Thanks,
Travis

Sounds like they are leaning to wear and tear by not doing anything for you. Check the search in the 1LE section as this was a topic and one of the members makes a sleeve protector for this issue. Also makes color choices. My belts did not do this to my recaros but some members have had this issue.

interesting... does the damage look like this? looks like the edge of the seatbelt webbing is basically "sawing" and causing the damage.

I would raise hell to get this covered under warranty. They just need to replace the upper seat cover.

Then I would stop keeping the seatbelt webbing in that loop. I have regular seats and don't use the loop for this reason. Sometimes I may clip it in after I put the belt on. Seems the loop's only purpose is to position the belt for ease of getting it on.
