Unethical Dealers
I know we have a "Gouging Dealers" thread that was started to name the dealers that were charging above MSRP but at least they were up front and you could walk away before wasting your time. Why not one that lists the worst of the worst. The dishonest dealers that change the price after many months of waiting, won't honor RP6 pricing, won't honor GMS or GMU pricing after agreeing to when ordered, or add on price adjustments when you pick up the car. We can really let everyone know what to watch for if they go to these dealers. Here's two of the many that have popped up on this forum.
Champion Chev on the Gulf Freeway in TX - added $5500 to price Nucar Chevrolet in Wilm. DE - rescinded GMU pricing, no RP6 pricing |

Rio Rancho In Pomona, CA-$2k over sticker and said they couldn't even start the car because they didn't want to put miles on it. They said you could drive it when you bought it.

Auburn Chevrolet in Auburn, WA I was told VIA an email that they were selling Camaros at 5-10k over MSRP no exceptions. This was a reply to an inquiry about GMS pricing. The dealer I finaly found called me and when I ordered, I got the GMS pricing in writing. And I didn't have to ask for the paper. The bad ones are everywhere but, if you're patient the good ones will come to you.

To the OP. I am in Delaware also. I have checked a few dealers in the area. I just got back today from Diver Chevrolet. I actually was talking to Mr Diver and didnt no it. We talked at length about this situation and he stated" We will NEVER sell any vehicle for more than MSRP. In times like this if you want to be around for the good times, you must treat your customers right." He stated he would be more than happy to take my GMS order or when I am ready.
Williams Chevrolet in Elkton, where I have bought my last 3 vehicles seemed like they would but did not seem very enthused about it. |
