I have never heard of EFR twin turbos, is your car an automatic with ss diff+ gears?

EFR are the new line of turbos from Borg Warner. Yes, I have the SS diff and 3.45 gears. The tranny is the 6L50 from my 2010 with a 3200 stall torque converter.

Does the 3200 stall torque converter work like launch control? And I assume the twin turbo kit is from RX?

No, nothing like launch control. Every automatic transmission has a torque converter. It allows the input side (engine) and output side (driveshaft) to operate at different RPMs without building up too much fluid heat from friction. They transmission only locks up once the two are near the same speed. A side benefit of this mechanism is it can multiply torque (hence the name). You can manipulate the "looseness" of the converter to allow it to multiply torque and delay lock until different RPMs. So a 3200 stall converter will will lock up later than a 2200 stall and earlier than a 4200. You can use this in drag racing to get your engine speed up into a desireable powerband and launch like a rocket. If you have turbos, this really helps a lot because, even though this turbos spool quickly, by 3200 RPMs they are making more boost than at say 2000 RPM. If you can put the power to the ground, then you can have a really good 60'.

It is a single, but is a purpose built unit, not a restalled weak stocker....but with that power we should build him a triple disc. Let me know.

Also, lets try and source the new LT1 HPDI pump. The diagrams I have seen appear to be driven the same 3 lobe off the cam, and as long as you could adpat it (I'm sure the skills you have shown would be doable) as it supports 600 plus hp (and rumored to support 700 plus).

I am confidant the injectors are up to the job....just the HPDI pump.

The 3200-3600 stall is more like having a manual and dumping the clutch, but only when you put your foot in it, otherwise it drives near stock and still will get great fuel economy on the interstate when locked.

The 500 rwhp unlocked is probably 550 plus locked, but that is hard on a converter on the dyno.

The system was the RX LLT EFR system before, and it appears much has been resued and adapted to the LFX...but Aaron and the crew have done an awesome job making it better than the old original from over 2 years ago (Gretchen was the first TT that could be driven 1000 trouble free miles at the time) and the current systems are much improved..like the SC systems.

The EFR's are what all the indy cars are standardized with...amazing new technology, but pricey.

You guys have done an amazing job Aaron!!! This car will be the king of all right now. Cant wait to see it on the 1/4 mile!

They are in the orange part of the sig. Went with the SAE values so we don't get a bunch of people filling the thread up with arguments on which one is right. Personally, don't care because we know it's making 500+. Real test will come at the track...nothing open around here right now, but Memphis will probably be open in March.

Thanks man. When you going to fill us in on the "extra" stuff you did when replacing the differential?

Do the Jannetty diff clutch pak mod....we do it on most of the gear changes as most of the stock ones are already looking worn even with low miles. Inexpensive and worth it.

I think the injectors are up to it as well. Logging with the e85, they were only at 12 ms pulse width when the pump maxed.

Tomorrow brings 101 octane (everywhere was out of 109) and some updated numbers. We want Derrick to have an aggressive 93 octane tune for the track, a mild street setup, and an Ill rip your face off and laugh race gas tune.
