Stock Injectors vs Magnuson Kit Injectors

Does anyone know the specs on the stock LS3 injectors and the specs on the injectors included with the Magnuson TVS2300 kit?

Stock LS3 injectors are 40#/hr. I'm pretty sure my TVS 2300 came with 60#/hr injectors.

Are the injectors that come with the magnacharger short like the stock LS3 injectors or are they the taller style?

Thanks guys, I am just trying to learn HP Tuners. Using the compare feature to see what changes were made between the stock tune and the magnuson tune. I could tell the injectors were larger but was trying to figure out how the changes were calculated.

Can you please post the magnuson tune?

Thanks

The taller injector will not work with the stock magnason fuel rail. We are in the process of looking at providing aftermarket fuel rails that will allow the use of that taller injector.

That sucks, in pictures it looks like the stock rail would interfere with the pully on the rear off the blower if taller injectors were used.

Please keep us posted with you solution

thanks

I contacted Magnuson today and asked about the injectors included in the kit. I was told they are ZR1 LS9 injectors rated at 54lb at 58psi....but this doesn't match the info I'm finding on the net

I just looked at a ZR1 stock tune, at 59psi they have the injectors flowing 53lb/hr. That sounds close enough to me.

Please tell us why you want to know which injectors you have so we can better help you.

You can not tell by the Magnuson tune which injectors are included in the kit. There is a good chance the magnuson tuner has "raped" the IFR table and other injector tables to work around a MAF curve that is not properly calibrated. The MAF curve is actually not changed at all in the maggy tune.

If they are in fact ZR1 injectors I will gladly send you a stock ZR1 tune which you could copy all the injector parameters from and start tuning the car correctly.

I have purchased HPT and The Tuning School Basic course. I'm trying to learn tuning. I am going very slowly. I am running the magnuson tune. From the course the first thing was to properly size the injectors. I could see in the tune that it did appear the IFR table was raped. If you could send me the ZR1 info that would be great....

The injector parameters were raped to achieve the desired A/F ratio. The car is running MAF only as speed density is disabled in the tune. In this case the correct way to achieve the desired A/F ratio is to calibrate the MAF transfer.

So, after correctly characterizing the injectors you will want to (and have to) tune your MAF transfer.

Many different parameters in the tune are based on airmass, this is why it is critical to have the air flow model correctly calibrated.

I just sent the tune, enjoy.
