Can this be done on the 2SS ?

hey guys , i ordered a 2SS with the rs package but my dealer brought me the 2SS without the rs package by mistake ! so they told me to wait another 3 months. and i waited enough , honestly the only thing that i liked about the rs package is the HALOS and the taillights , am thinking of ordering them and get it installed .. is the package available for sale ? if so , any links where to order them ?

and am i gonna be missing something with rs package in the interior ?

you'll miss roof ditch modling (exterior black lines above the doors) being body colored, midnight silver rims, darker tails, and the Red SS badges.

All those are exterior things though.

You can order them online, that is what I plan on doing at some point. Not sure if they're plug and play though. I've heard they might not be.

You can order aftermarket halo and hid headlights ( think AACstyle has them). You can also tint the tails yourself. You can buy emblems too ( Emblempro has these). About the only thing you cant do easily is the roof ditches. Color matching those could be a chore.

It will never be the same as factory i would wait and or find another car, you can get one quicker than 3 months. The GM ones are not directly plug and play and if you get aftermarket ones they won't be as good of quality.

Exactly ! Am not considering any aftermarket halos and HID , the rs headlights and taillights is the best option am looking for ,

but :( too bad that they aren't plug and play other wise i would order them right now , why would they put them on sale - the rs package - if they don't fit in the 2SS ?

and I CAN'T WAIT ANOTHER 4 months , damn you dealer .. :@

Start doing a search for the car you want at dealerships around the country and on Ebay. I bet you can find one like you want before the 4 months is up, at the price you want.

IMO, spend the $1500 (RS pkg) on painted stripes and a new exhaust... the impact is worth WAY MORE than the RS package.

Dave in our parts department has already order RS tails for someone...but when you hear the price of the HID / Halos, you'll want to order a new car!

Painted stripes could possibly hurt resale, they are permanent and if someone does try and sell their car they are not original. The RS package is original and will always help resale value as it is a original option. Just a small point, it can be argued both ways some people myself included wouldn't own this car without the RS package and some people could care less.

The reason the halo's aren't plug n play is becuase they are actually lit by a gas (high intensity discharge) and the whole system would have to installed in order for them to work. For those of you who have the RS package, put your hand on the top of the driver side front fender about 2 feet away from the windshield and have someone flick your brights on and off. You can actually feel the shutter open and close to release more gas to make the headlights brighter...kinda cool IMO.
