Transmission noise

Hey, i noticed on mine if i go above 2000rpm's it makes noise and if i go under its gone. Is something wrong with my new camaro...well a few months old now . But i just noticed it this morning when i drove into work with the radio off to just relax and enjoy the ride...but then i hear this strange noise. Anyone have an idea of what im talking about... the noise is hard for me to put to words...so yeah...i can try if anyone asks...

Can you describe the noise a little better?

like if you have air in a hose and your pushing water through it. almost as if there isn't enough fluid or something so it has moments of air...but i am not sure thats even the right description. I was going to go into the dealer but i much rather see if its something as small as replacing the transmission fluid or if i really have an issue.... and it only happens when i go over 2000rpm's which is what has me scratching my head.

That actually sounds like the heater core issue that has been discussed and there is a TSB for the addition of a valve assembly to quite things down.

Do a search for heater core noise and you should find a huge thread or two about it....

Has to do with the movement of the coolant thru the hose leading to the core IIRC. There was a huge variance on when the folks experienced it.

It may not be your issue but I thought I would throw it out there based on your description...

Def go for a ride with a GM tech at your dealer and bring up this issue if they can't find anything.

I have had my Camaro for about a month now and I have noticed the same thing. To me it sounds like the throw out bearing is going bad.

mine does the same thing. even before i had the new transmission put in it did it. now the new trans. does it too so maybe mine is the heater core problem. but like hairzee stated above it sounds like the throwout bearing is going out.
