When Daiwoo failed, G.M. bought assets but not liabilities (warranty-recalls-etc.)
The car owners here were 'on their own dime'

I wished the mainstream media would report these numbers. After watching the news the last couple of days I would have thought GM was down more than anyone. These are very encouraging numbers.

This is great news, but the proof of the pudding (after all the pre-ordered Camaro's get delivered to the hard core enthausist) will be how many Camaro's get sold to the average Joe.

That's what I'll be watching.

Competition's figures updated a bit...seemed to have gotten some different numbers yesterday.

Makes toyota, honda, and Chrysler do even worse.

This is great news that the top 2 are Anerican Company's but I wasn't to surprised that GM was on top.... The 2010 Camaro in my option WILL top all car sales in the history of new models coming out!

It's very sad when 29.6% YOY decline in sales is 'good news'. This is NOT good news.

Also, at the rate of 5500 Camaros per month for 12 months, that gives about 66,000 total Camaros sold for 1 year. The car cannot survive on those type of numbers. It needs to hit 100k/year.
