I moved the outer boot and that was good enough... you may just want to dimple the header.... won't change performance.

Some of the cars have fitment issues because the engine can be too much to one side by about a half inch.

yeah...if it was a half inch to the passenger side, everything would be fine there...but below, the passenger side was the harder install, lol...

Glad to help. It was a lot easier with a lift than in my driveway on ramps. I love the look of the tri-y's. looking forward to hearing it one time WOT and comparing to my kooks. I will say my kooks did fit slightly better but that could have been my car vs yours. Get that steering boot figured out so we can go open them up. Lol

hit the headers with a hammer a few times and be done with it... or undo your motor mounts and try to slide it over...

Way too much money for me to beat with a hammer. Sorry but for that much dough, I shouldn't have to beat anything.

well, not sure if tapping it with a hammer or just re-seating the steering made it clear, but it's no longer touching...there was no room to really swing my little ball-peen, so i'm leaning towards the re-seating.
so here's a vid to celebrate!

Sounds good! I hope you get all the little issues straightened out with it.

thanks...yeah, i'm probably going to have to go back to the steering issue, as it's only just clearing it...don't want to burn up that rubber.
i'll try to dyno tune next month, and then everything will be fine

Just spoke with zack at pfadt. He said on their initial tests with a zl1 they had the same issue, but the rubber lasted through a whole day of heavy running with no issues. So, I've got some peace of mind now
