HELP ASAP!!!

Hello Camaro family.. It's about that time to order and I have a really big question on ordering my car. As far as the car with options it is a 2011 2LT IOM with IO interior, sun roof, auto transmission, RS PKG, Ground effects, rally stripes, nickel fuel door, hockey stripes. It MSRP's at $34,400, avg paid is $33,500, and dealer cost is $32,020. With all of your knowledge about negotiating with multiple dealers.. What would you do in my situation? How many dealers would you get involved to compete with one another.. How likely is it for me to get to that $32,020 price or even get lower than that price? I heard it's a good idea to get all the major dealerships in your state to compete with each other and have them fight it out.. What are your ideas? Btw I do belong to a credit union and Sams club.. Idk what pricing that automatically qualifies me for.. Please let me know what it does qualify me for if you know. I would like to get as much info as possible bc it's about time to buy my baby!

I used one of the forum sponsored dealers - Eric Hall at Classic. All of the dealers on the forum charge less than MSPR and most of the time charge less than you will find elsewhere.

Even if Eric hadn't been so close I would have still bought from one of the forum sponsors. They have a vested interest in making sure you are happy. Besides, all of them love Camaros so they make sure the little things are taken care of like the front plate not being installed.

And just as a side note - don't pay MSRP - period.

I think you can get it for an even $32K. that dealer cost and invoice stuff is BS, just another sales trick. Go in offer $32K tell them you are serious. If they don't bite leave your number and walk away. Then go to the next dealer and do the same thing. The longer you linger the more they will think you are in love with the car and get you for more.

I'd just go for the GM preferred price you get through the credit union discount. You can read about it here. Of course you could try to negotiate lower than this, but dealers can't officially use the credit union discount and sell below the GM preferred price so it'd be more difficult.

It's usually at least $900 off MSRP, there's a link to pricing at my link. Some of the forum sponsor dealers offer it for anyone. I personally went with a local dealer, but BeckyD was very helpful during the process.

I said the same thing to another guy in a different post. They didnt care as they wanted it to be a 6 cylinder. I cant see paying that much for a 6 cylinder.

Where did you get that MSRP pricing? WITHOUT the Hockey stripes, the MSRP is $35,395, GM Preferred $33,960.62 and Invoice $34,207.87 ??

My mistake.. I did this through TrueCar, but it left out the stripes. Stupid glitches! I just want to get the lowest possible price on this car. Even If I have to get the GFX and stripes later... I will.

Excellent suggestion I would and will not even bother shopping around for a new car Becky will have all of my future business (unless she leaves Rodgers)
