Good grief....only 5500 will be built. Yeah...priced at 38K...sure. Every dealer that gets a hold of one of those will pull the same crap as Ford and up the MSRP 5 to 10K...pretty sad.

I think the car looks decent....I won't get one, but it isn't bad. The b-pillar could have been done a little better, but that must just be because they didn't "factory tint" the rear quarter windows.
Anyway, what's with the guys comments? All of them will be SRT8's? Then he follows that up with a production schedule and the fact that they will be built with the "3.5L V6, and both 5.7L and 6.1L HEMIS "? Unless SRT is going soft, I seriously doubt that the 3.5L V6 will "qualify" as an SFT product. |

That being said.. the 5.7 can't compete with the weight/hp ratio against the camaro. Basically the first year of production is for large markups and collectors only cars.

I think it looks fantastic. Better than the concept. I love how they added the black ducktail spoiler from the '70 T/A model and the old school front spoiler. The Taillights are straight from the '70 car with how they split it with the reverse lights in the middle. Very, very retro looking though, even more than the concept. Chrysler will have a tough time updating this model in coming years without ruining the retro look, much like Ford will with the Mustang.
That's where GM really thought ahead with a more modern looking car. Camaro will look waay better IMO. |

I don't see where it's gonna be any real competition against the Camaro or the mustang to a lesser extent. The cars too heavy to be anything more then a rich mans toy. Don't get me wrong, it is a sharp looking car. The Camaro on the other hand is still going to look sharp and fresh years down the road.

I always thought this was a beauty of a car.
But I never considered it an opponent for the Camaro. Sure it'll go quick - but you've got it right. Any Challenger worth getting (ie. no V6's) is purely a collectors car. It's back to Mustang v Camaro...and any rice burner foolish enough to put their foot into the cage. Overall, Very nice car. I think they implemented the B-pillar very well. I think, like the "article" said - the ass was done well. I just want to see better than a Camera phone pictures. |

2009 Challenger production photos
Chrysler hates phone cams
http://www.autoblog.com/2007/10/15/c...dge-challenge/ these pictures look small, but it does look like they made the b-pillar seem not-noticable. very nice. bigger picture is here--> http://www.autospies.com/news/2008-D...ut-Camo-21742/ http://www.topspeed.com/cars/car-new...d-ar45371.html

The camaro's enemy update , CHALLENGER PRODUCTION PICS
sooo the challenger productions pics are now arround the web , in my opinion is almost identical to the concept and the b-pillar is unnoticed with the windows up , the overall shape from the concept is still on the production , if dodge sucks , then chevrolet can easily do the same and keep the shape of the camaro for production ........this makes me feel sure that the new camaro will be a camaro concept with good interior

I don't know about anyone else, but I think that B-pillar is quite noticeable, at least in these pics. I'm sure that the GM will do a much better job with the Camaro.

I think that is due to the lack of window tint. A little tinting should fix that right up.
