Before I got my gt front bumper, cdc chin spoiler, and saleen grille on my mustang this is what happened

3300 dollars worth o damage. 500 deductable

Then I got my camaro about 8 months afterwards. I haven't hit any deer since, but I'm cautious about not speeding at night, which was when I hit this one.

Honestly I'd say you lucked out, compared to what the damage could have been. My wife hit a deer in my 05 Pontiac Vibe daily driver. The deer ran straight into the front right fender as she was calmly driving up a busy road in a not so rural area, and it had the fender flattened completely to the point where the front passenger wheel was totally exposed, broke headlamp, bumper, bent the corner of the hood, and front part of the passenger front door. Just saying that it could always been worse damage done. Wish you luck in getting the your Camaro all fixed up!

Yeah I'd have to agree, I really lucked out. A second slower and that deer would have been through the windshield.

Smacked a deer at 45 MPH on Thursday night. It ran out of nowhere and I hit square. Glad I was in my Silverado and was really surprised when I pulled over - other than a 4 inch hole in my grille, there was no other damage at all. Very impressive. I was prepared to see bent sheet metal, broken headlights and fog lamps, etc. Lots of blood though... I am sure the outcome would have been different if in the camaro. Probably would have flown over the car...

This is a big reason I want to stay in the city. You won't hit a deer in LA or Las Vegas.
