Rust on Camaro? Estimate to fix?

Was wondering how much it would cost in your opinions to get this rust spot fixed. It's not big at all and it's on top on the passenger side. No dent either.

You should've touched up that chip when it happened. But don't worry it's still an easy fix. You could do it yourself with some 2000 grit sandpaper and some touch up paint.

I just found out the chip today honestly! It was like that the moment I saw it. Apparently I'm very oblivious!

$350. They have to fill it, sand it, paint it, blend it, and re-clear the entire door

If thats a door, if thats below the rear quarter glass its gonna be more because they will have to re-clear the entire quarter panel and up to the roof ditch molding

Dealerships usually have "chip repair" businesses come in and fix simple damage like that. Contact your dealer and see who they use, then talk to them first before the body shop.

That way you can choose which way is best for you.

It's actually on top of the car. Near the passenger side.

I should have been more specific, I apologize.

depends, on whether or not there is any evidence of rust forming under the paint, towards the windshield. Fixing it 'right' may include removing the windshield, blending paint and re-clearing the roof. That is unless the body shop insists on re-shooting the entire roof, rather than blending.

Toasty, any ideas of what could cause this because I wash my car and hand dry it once a week or so. I would have noticed it very early on while it was still a chip with no rust. And I honestly rather take it to the dealership to get it done since the synergy green (in my opinion) may be a hard color to blend.

18" from the damage, they don't have to do entire panels. and the 18" is only for blending purposes.

No wonder health care costs so much. And I thought overkill on oil changes were extreme.

Rub off the rust and put some touch up paint on it if Chevy still has that very cool color. If not, find some matching nail polish at Wal-Mart and get back to sweating the big stuff, because this ain't it.

It's just surface rust, not even real rust to worry about, just clean it, and touch it up
