Are you comparing the 4GB of RAM to that of a PC? Apples to oranges. Games are going to be much more optimized on a console than they ever will on a PC. I agree with the whole media center thing, I could careless about all the extra features. I just want it for gaming also.

Just wait and see how these new games run on the 4gb ram. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Besides, the OS using half of the ram is all hear say at this point. It is not confirmed. Xbox One will blow PS4 out of the water.

when you force me to pay extra money to play used games, including titles my friends bring over so we can have some couch MP I don't want your system.

I predict the same. The "all-in-one entertainment center" feeling I am getting from the Xbox One smells like a casual gaming experience to me. I don't want to do status updates on facebook while skyping with all my friends and simultaneously watching a movie and playing a video game. I want to play video games, period.

I had not seen this. Thanks for posting it. I am glad to hear that there (at least at this point in time) will be no fees. What still concerns me though is this: "That said, it still 'requires' a connection to the internet promising cloud-based benefits for gameplay and more."

I believe at least part of the argument for "cloud-based" benefits is that some processes can be handled on the cloud side instead of your console. Is this not the same argument EA made for their recent "always-connected" SimCity release? I guess I just like knowing that when I have the game disk in my hand and my console at home, I have everything I need for an awesome experience. No depending on the internet, no depending on if the cloud service is busy or potentially shut down for maintenance, no worrying about if I want to play my game 5 years from now and the company decided to close the servers. Just me, my game, and my warm console. Is that too much to ask?

Wow, that went on for far too long, lol.
