I'd like to ask one question which I hope is valid. On all the development that has apparently gone into this car and the price tag it carries, is there valid reason why the design of the CAI shroud does not fully isolate the intake filter from the engine compartment. Now, not having any formal understanding of airflow dynamics, I would think that with the additional "suction" of air due to boost, a lot more heated air from the engine compartment is going to be finding its way into the system as opposed to some of the more isolated designs.

Just trying to ask what I feel is a valid question, not a criticism and not an un-friendly shot across the bow....

Awesome vid. I ride out at MSRH all of the time, but I am normally on a motorcycle. My lap times at MSRH on a motorcycle are around 1:48 so 1:45 is a smoking time. You have that thing out there on a regular basis... hopefully I could see it while I am out there one weekend.

OK - comparison search time - where is the vid of a 100% stock 2SS on a similar track? ....I know there's a link somewhere. Please post it so we can see some type of analogy.

1:53's. A stock ZR1 Corvette runs in the 1:41-2 range.
