So, can I say the 245's are officially worthless (Like this is breaking news).

I finally got above 1K miles and am being a little more aggressive with the throttle and R's. (Max 4500 rpm and some full throttle pulls) 1-2 shift lights them up every time. 2-3 Breaks them loose long enough for Stabiltrak to kick in.

This LT1 is my 4th 6th gen Camaro along with 2 5th gens. There is absolutely nothing I dislike about the car the way it sits today. I couldn't give it full throttle at any speed below like 60 without crazy wheelspin. I fixed that by buying 1LE wheels from a forum member and putting Goodyear SC3s on which solved the traction problem. I added a shock tower brace and this car now handles perfectly for me.

I added a VMax throttle body and a GM Performance CAI and it feels considerably more refined than before...faster??? Carbon fiber side skirts were purchased from a forum member and I added Rally Stripes which made a lot of difference in the appearance. I looked forever for a sharkskin grey car and had to drive from TN to Atlanta to pick it up.

Others have said it well that this lightest and most reasonably priced V8 is perfect with the excepton of the tires. I like the simple design of the grill and the spoiler of all the differences between the SS and LT1. I preferred leather seating and had them installed and now the car is perfect. It has sunroof and NPP from the factory and dealer installed tinted windows which are much appreciated.

So, what do I dislike? A place to use the power. other than the drag strip. I did take it to Beech Bend after 1500 miles of easy break-in and ran it bone stock to a 12.7 with stock tires and after launch, it pulled really hard. It was very hot that day and I feel like cooler weather would have made a lot of difference. I ran against two Dodge 392s, a Charger and a Challenger and beat both handily. They were new also and had the same handicaps as I, so it was a fair win. The car now has 3700 miles on it.

Here are a few pics.

Nice cars!

I agree, I like the smooth simple lines of the LT1 too. And, my LT1 feels much more responsive (around town) than my 2016 and 2019 (SS and ZL1). Probably just a weight thing, as they were convertibles. I really do like mine a lot….Everything I want / nothing that I don’t.

BTW- White knee pads would look great with your leather seating.

If you noticed a difference with adding a shock tower brace I might reconsider it then if you liked the results it gave. I agree with everything you said as well. I still love my car just wish I could drive it more.
