Exhaust upgrade
I have a 2014 LS and looking to upgrade the stock exhaust. I am trying to decide between the replacing the stock mufflers with the dynomax bullets and the mrt v2. I know the dynomax will be cheaper, but will the drone be much worse.

mz36, have you heard anything? I'm in the same boat. I'm 54, I know a V6 will not sound like a V8, let's get that out of the way first. I'm wanting my car to sound better without sounding like a ricer! I couldn't afford a V8, previous post will tell you why. Does anybody know what is a good sounding exhaust is for a V6? I get it with an "X" pipe. The guy at my muffler shop in Humble TX says an X pipe is not a good ideal? Can someone fill me in as to what the best options are for a V6. Iv's only owned two V6 powered cars in my life, both Camaro's.

I have the MRT v1 and it rocks. Cold starts are a little loud but once it idles it's just slightly louder than stock, same at driving speeds. The only time you notice drone is when you're going up a long steep hill or something.

MRT v2 and Drone
For me the drone was not what i wanted inside the car, between 1600-2000 rpm. Now it is a beautiful looking well made unit and looks great and sounds awesome outside the car!! And at least 30 lbs lighter.
Now plenty of people on camaro forums say the best was to go for the MRT is pair it with a Magnaflow resonated x pipe. PS, i still have my MRT V2 for sale |
