Torque Converter Install

For those guys out there with bigger stalls and installed yourself how did you monitor tranny fluid temps to make sure you were in the right temp range to refill ? Is there anyway of hooking up a Autometer guage ?

MayBe the transmission and driveline section would be a better place for this ??
