I asked him for the TSB number - he gave me "GM Document Number of 2661395" (as I mentioned earlier) - I don't know how/if this number relates to a TSB but that is all I could get.

Most of the people on this thread are replacing an existing PDIM that doesn't function properly. I'm assuming you don't currently have a PDIM in your LS. You need to buy a kit that includes the PDIM, as well as the wiring harness that runs to the radio.

It will work with no issues as long as the PDIM in the kit is one of the newer ones. You'll also need to get the radio reflashed by the dealer so it will recognize the PDIM.

Your best bet is to talk to Gene Culley at GM Parts Warehouse. His number is in his signature about twenty posts back from here.

I still find it hard to believe that a man who is capable of field stripping an M-16 is afraid to disassemble the console in his Camaro.

Thank you for the referral. We can basically make you up a PDIM kit using the latest and greatest PDIM. Feel free to send me an email or give me a call.

I just had my PDIM replaced last week. At first it was supposed to be Monday, but when I brought it in, the hardware wouldn't accept the new software so they had to order a new PDIM for me. Two days later, they had the new part for me and put it in. It's DA/DX and it works very well, now; although it does need to spend quite a bit of time indexing 20+GB of songs every time I start the car. :p

I know that people say that it doesn't have anything to do with the Bluetooth, but now when I stream audio from my phone, it doesn't cut out and then switch itself to another audio source any more.

Now... If only I could find a way to make the up and down rocker make it jump between stations in my BBC iPlayer. :p
