I am counting down the days. The only thing that will keep me away is the rain like it did for the Fbody Beach Bash.

Once again a "special" class just for the manuals on street tires....NO automatics allowed? hundreds of posts on C5 about how the manuals are so much faster and
if you own a automatic you're a girlie man. Then they run and hide in a class just for them...lol.

...equally as many posts about autos that are faster.... ...of course autos shift faster....not much challenge there...(my fav is one of our club's auto driver who likes to brags about running consistantly with one foot and one hand...yawn) street tire limitation is a great equalizer for huge power; and even great drivers boff a shift or launch too heavy every now and then. ...if the auto crowd wants to know who is the king of their community, press for an auto/street tire combo... (comically, not much interest for that at Camaro5Fest). ...or, you can join the two hand, two foot driving club and go back to muscle car roots.

You're ashamed to own a manual...aren't you?

I would say someone who drives could out run an auto with a stick in a stock SS.When you get 600-800rwhp on street tires you have to drive and not ride so it becomes much harder to make a good pass.StreetSlayer is ADDING a class, not taking away from the auto crowd...You can pick 10 people at random and you would get vastly different ets with my car,you could put the same ten in an auto car and there times would be very very close, hope that explains it better

chuckle.....
laughable... when both legs are broken, then I'll consider an auto...until then, I'll proudly drive manuals (truck, vette, 'maro.....). Before too long, manuals wont exist any more. Gotta enjoy driving's heritage while I can. To each their own; and the most important thing is folks being happy with their cars....I am very happy in a standard vehicle; matching revs; heel/toeing; staying connected to my car and the road--making every drive asphalt therapy....to each their own. If there are enough auto drivers on street tires interested in another class, I would enjoy watching that competition as well. Call your fellow autos out and see what you can pull toghether.
