I timed the last game I installed and it only took 18 minutes from inserting the disc to playing.

Hows your internet connection? If you have a slow connection its probably the updates that are causing it to take so long.

ShnOmac mentioned it early, you need to fully shutdown your XB1 to clear this issue. When your XB1 powers down it's really in hibernation, that's why it only takes a few seconds for it to power back on, it's also how it can listen for "Xbox On" and power everything on.

Holding down the power button on the front of the console for 5 seconds will actually shut it down. Press it again to turn it on and you'll be good to go. It's some glitch, hopefully they'll sort it out soon. I've had it happen to me on a few occasions.

The RROD crap is still going on with the new 360's. You didn't honestly expect them to fix the issue when they released Xbone now did you?

It's not failing though, it still works it's just dumb shit that keeps happening. First the Y button was sticking, so I returned the whole console. Then that fan started making ticking noises even in standby, so they sent a replacement. Now the vents on right side of it are losing their texture and turning glossy and it looks hideous. Hopefully this 4th one will work, but I doubt it.

Just bought the TF bundle, put the broken refurbished in there and returned it. So **** you M$ I got a free copy of TF out of this.

Oh I almost forgot, the old controller I had felt cheap and kept creaking at the seams. That was supposed to be replaced as well. Everything on the new one is perfect so far. Anyone know where to pick up XBL for a decent price?
