You know you've made 3x threads in the last little while in the same section all asking questions regarding diff/axles. You could've concentrated all your questions in one thread lol..sorry, not trying to be a dick, just as an FYI.
To be honest, the L99/auto cars are a lot easier on the driveline/axles since they can preload and dont shock-load the axles/driveline like the LS3/Manual cars do. Ive heard of stock L99's going 10's on the stock axles...but for how long? I dont think theres a definitive answer there, it depends on how much power youre making, what type of tire youre going to be using and is this a track drag racer, a street cruiser or a street racer? Id think the stock axles in an L99 would be good to about 600hp anyways..if not more. You'll have to worry more about the stock LSD start 1-wheeling than an axle IMHO.

Nick you don't need new axles... I have 3.91s with the M6 and full bolt ons and they take it just fine. The auto will sacrifice itself before you break anything behind it 98% of the time.

I got about 100,000 miles on my stock axles. I drive real hard, many, many hole shots, most of the miles were with a large cam, 3600 stall converter, 391's, nitto 555r's and I'm lowered.I replaced them because of normal wear.
