28" SKINNY RADIALS NOW AVAILABLE!!!

Mickey Thompson has just released a 28X6.00R17LT RADIAL skinny!!! Finally!!! A perfect match for those running 17" Drag Radials in the rear!!!

We all heard the rumors these were "in the works", and now it's on their website. Haven't done a price search yet....but hopefully they're affordable.

Yes! Prior to this release, the only 28" tall "skinny" tire was the M&H 4.5/28-17 Bias-Ply front runner. Now at least there is an option to run radials all the way around!!! But they're so new right now, nobody has pricing on them yet.

Well, according to the M/T website, these are designed for 4.0 - 5.0 rims, so they're perfect for the 17x5 Weld RT-S or Bogart wheels.

Very cool! Jason Moulton from M/T had posted on the YB that they were going to release something in the near future.

Yeah Tim, they will in all likelihood be heavier.

I've run 15" skinnies both bias ply and radials, and the latter drive much better on the street. I had Moroso DS2's that were super light but were super smooth.

Maybe I'll sell my Nurburgring set next year and get me a 17" track pack.

Maybe I'll start commuting on skinnies again.

This car lived on skinnies, and I even drove it to Bristol TN on skinnies in 2000:

Yeah, at least these new 28" radials would make it a little bit more practical to run a fatty/skinny set-up on the street. I just gotta sell my CF10's first!!!
