Just ordered JPSS Castor Locks based on Pete’s recommendation.

https://www.jpssonline.com/p-39-cama...s-by-jpss.aspx

One more reason to help with road coursing!

So, while I won’t have everything for this Saturday’s event, my next one should be good to go!

Well maybe, I do have a second set of new 1LE struts/shocks ;o).

I’ve seriously thought about those but my camber plates won’t fit them...

And I’ve upgraded just about everything already...

OK, doing track prep today -- did the camera, trunk clean out, and Road Warrior Plus:

First Applied (I did roll it out more to 'smooth' it but wanted to get a pic while wet):

15 minutes after applying:

30 minutes after applying:

Applied a second coat and ready to roll!

Next, tools and E85 tanks to fill...

Track prep is ready!

In the AM will put the E85 and fan in the car and head out.

Picked this up and the box fits in the back seat:

Nice Generator with blue-tooth too!

I'll use this with local tracks (as in pavilion or paddock) when no garage is available...

Fantastic day at Eagles Canyon!

Car did excellent, trans temp never went above 158°, coolant temps 212°, oil temp 268° but fell quickly to 222° at the end of the session 3, IAT2 temps, 114°

Ambient was 86°

Car did very well, so much power on tap that I need to get smoother when applying the pedal.

This track, the instructors drive the car the first couple of laps of the first session... I warned him ;o)...

My instructor, Mark, just screamed in excitement — it was funny, we had a great time...

Aero planted the car, really helped when I got a little too much speed and did some serious braking and settled the car...

Driver needs a serious mod to utilize what this car has...

Paddle shifter’s worked fantastically! Trans really responded better than I thought.

On a side note:

Course was bumpy and shut my recorder off as I had it too close to the mirror — so no vids this time ;o(

Very nice track, gonna do it again — and THIS time with video.

Pics should be coming from the track soon, I’ll post when ready..

So, did a little 'after' track day cleanup.

Mini-oil catch can:

Clean side did its job! Checked the TB and tube, little to none inside so did a quick clean-up.

Now the Road Warrior Plus.

Worked perfectly! Sprayed it down with this (soaked it several times) until the RWP 'ghosted' (slight white), then using a 'ridge' I created with RWP, started pulling it off:

Water Sprayer:

Peeling off RWP:

A little waterless wash and:

Mirrors came off clean too!

Not bad for after a track day!

Took about 5 minutes to ghost, 10 minutes to remove all the RWP. If you double coat, it comes off much easier (thicker) and make sure to avoid 'gaps'...

Did the screw driver test after the second coat cure... tough stuff!

Find it here:

Meat order 2 came in!

Interesting note on the Toyo vs GoodYear temps:

I'll get them mounted tomorrow and heat cycle them!

Yep, 305's

305/35zr20 in the back

285/35zr20 in the front...

Gotta let them sit 24 hours before mounting since it was below 68° @ 7:45 this morning when delivered...

THEN after mounting, I'm gonna heat cycle these in the one of the box retailer's parking lot -- safely ;o)

Probably but, since I'm not in any hurry now, they're sitting in the front hallway warming up ;o)...

Controlled heat cycles!

Just for you Mark:

Current temps -- they were 41° this morning when FedEx delivered them, so 3 hours later, this is the tire temps:

Left:

Right:

66.5°

Wife WON'T let me put them in the kitchen where all the sunlight is -- outside won't get above 61° today -- I'm heating the garage up so it will get about 80° in there!
